DuPont PlantexPro

Installation DuPont™ Plantex® Pro

DuPont™ Plantex® Pro is very easy to lay and use. Once the ground has been cleared of any debris or sharp stones you simply pull any existing weeds, rake the area flat and then roll the material out.

Edges can be buried and rolls overlapped to cover large areas. We advise you to install Plantex® Pro by using Plantex® PINS, so the cloth remains in place. Use sharp scissors or a knife, and cut either over an existing plant or at the position where the new plant is to go. Work the DuPont™ Plantex® Pro gently over existing plants or plant through with new ones.

A covering of mulch stops light reaching any remaining weeds and extends the life of Plantex® Pro. You can also cover Plantex® Pro with a 5 cm layer of bark, straw, gravel or decorative chippings.

N.B. For best results with DuPont™ Plantex® Pro, it must be covered. Plantex® Pro acts as a soil separator thus preventing the covering from mixing in with the soil. This means that less covering is needed with Plantex® Pro than with just a mulch, and the risk of Nitrogen starvation is reduced. Plantex® Pro is strong, very light and versatile, but an insufficient mulch covering may lead to very aggressive weeds growing through.
