RootBarrier®

RootBarrier® is a vertically-installed root membrane. RootBarrier® prevents roots from spreading in places where they are not welcome. The roots will not be inhibited in their growth, but can now find their way to water and nutriments in a controlled manner.

Examples of this are:

• road surfaces need never again be damaged by tree roots.
• bamboo roots will no longer get a chance to run astray in the garden, but the plant can simply go on growing.
• the foundation remains protected against roots.
• conduits and cables can no longer be strained by roots.

The solution for controlled root growth is RootBarrier®. RootBarrier® is a nonwoven, 100% polypropylene geotextile, made from continuous heat-bonded filament with an extruded coating.

RootBarrier® comes in the standard widths 50 cm (20 inches), 65 cm (26 inches), 100 cm (40 inches), 130 cm (52 inches) and 200 cm (80 inches). Other sizes available upon request. RootBarrier® comes in the standard length of 50 meters (55 yards).
